Walgreens huge KY and points money making deal
I just posted these two on my site, but I thought I'd post here..
SIL got 20 KY this morning, rolled into a ton of Ensure for Grams and walked away with 120,000 Reward points ($120!!!!) on her card...
1.5oz KY Ultra Gel is on sale at Walgreen’s today for $5.99, normally $8.99
When you buy 1 you get a Register Reward for $6.00 (so already FREE)
You can use the $5/1 K-Y Product, exp. 1/31/13 (SS 01/06/13) (while the coupon lists some specific products, the only exclusion is KY Jelly)
SO .. buy 1 (only 1 deal at a time), use the coupon above and pay $0.99+tax (this is a taxable product in Florida)
You’ll then get a $6.00 RR print (which you can’t use this on any KY product, so if you are doing the deal again you can’t use this RR on it)
My SIL did this deal 20 time across 5 stores this morning – made $120 in Register Rewards which she has rolled onto other products

As of this morning…each $30 was giving you 20,000 points
(not 10,000 – so $20 back on the purchase of
$30 !!!) This probably wont last for ever as they will eventually fix
the registers!
NOTE: Ring each $30 separately to get your points each time
REMINDER – throw a cheap filler in if you have more coupons
than product (i.e. the RR from the KY and an additional coupon.. it can be as

Me too! Props to anyone who can figure out Walgreens' points system + RR + coupons + rebates . . . lol! I decided a long time ago to mostly stick with CVS.

Yes I agree, it sounds like a good deal, if you already know how to work Walgreens. I have tried to shop their deals before and just didn't get it. That was prior to points, ha ha.
Basically
go to Walgreens and buy as many KY Ultra gels as you have the $5 coupons for in separate transactions
you will get $6 back every time...
It's up to you what to spend it on....but for her she rolled it into Ensure for my grandmother, getting all that FREE and $120 (120,000) to spend at a later date on her card
FYI... I hardly ever shop Walgreen's either! LOL

My coupon says any premium product, excludes jelly. Is that a premium product? Did the register beep?
Edit, Just looked at the q again and it only lists certain items it is valid on, but it does says excludes jelly. The ultra is not listed so I am not sure this would be valid?

There is a $2/1 MQ in the 12/9 SS insert that should work if you feel the $5/1 from 1/6 SS is not a match. I'm no KY expert but they do make a KY Jelly product that is different from the one on sale which is a "Gel". I did this deal several times this morning and the coupon did beep at one store but scanned fine at the other stores.
I did use the $5 off coupon 3x and had no problem. Will send my brother back to try more times. It did not beep. I don't usually shop Walgreens, do I earn points on these things? What do the points get me?
brig, with the KY deal this week you get Register Rewards (catalina) coupon which is good towards your next purchase. Balance rewards points are earned when they scan your card for a product that is offering a BR deal like KFC mentioned in her first post. BR points can also be redeemed on your next purchase by presenting your card. hth :)
...yeah KY wasn't jelly (which is significantly cheaper ) so didn't beep and all good!

If you got the jelly, that is probably why it beeped. I don't know anything about them either, lol. It did work on whatever the heck I got that was in a small blue box though, I think it said liquid. I sent my brother to get more so we will see what he ends up with and if he had any issues. He is coupon clueless.

Yes they can be used together, but at Walgreens you cannot have more coupons then products purchased :( and RR count as coupons where as BR do not.
The $5 coupon in the Tampa, FL area states it's valid on any KY Brand Premium Product and does list the ones it's valid on. The KY on sale at Walgreens does not appear to be a Premuim product, therefore ot being a match
